About extracting acapellas
An acapella is the vocal recording with no instruments behind it. Officially released acapellas exist only for a small number of tracks, usually as part of a remix package, which is why producers extract their own.
For remixing and sampling, the isolated vocal is the raw material. It will carry some artefacts from the separation: a slight smearing on sustained notes, and reverb tails that were baked into the original mix cannot be undone. In a dense new arrangement those artefacts usually sit far enough back to be inaudible.
Export as WAV if the file is going into a DAW, since MP3 compression on top of a separated stem compounds the artefacts. Use MP3 only for quick sharing.
